Museum Planning LLC developed an exhibition design and strategic plan for the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring, a nature center and wetlands discovery destination in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The project focused on connecting visitors — particularly families and school groups — to the natural environment of Murfree Spring through hands-on, discovery-based experiences.
The exhibition design centered on nature play and environmental discovery — creating experiences that let visitors engage directly with the wetlands ecosystem. Interactive elements were designed to be accessible to all ages, with particular attention to K–12 educational programming aligned with science learning standards.
A strategic plan was developed to guide the institution's programming, audience development, and operational sustainability — ensuring the Discovery Center could serve as an ongoing resource for the Murfreesboro community.
